Siena is a brand new set of 200 free icons, developed exclusively for Webdesigner Depot. You can use them for your designs such as logos, websites and much more. They come in 6 different raster sizes and we have also included vector files for all the icons, so you can resize them as needed.

These icons are completely free for both personal and commercial use and they’re being released exclusively to all our RSS subscribers.

To download your copy, simply subscribe to our RSS feed and you’ll find the current password at the bottom of each post (note that this password changes every few days and is only visible in the RSS subscriber feed of this post, which must be viewed through an RSS reader).

If you’d like to share these icons, please refer your friends to this page. Below is a full preview of all 200 icons for quick reference. Enjoy!

It’s kinda weird that the download link would only be visible within an RSS reader. I prefer NOT to read articles inside my RSS reader because it gets reformatted. I prefer to actually visit your site and see the article in its original context. Wouldn’t you rather have real visitors anyway?

I have no desire to unsubscribe from the RSS feed. I have all my RSS feeds arranged in My Yahoo, and their article preview is very “blah.” I guess I like the best of both worlds — current headlines from my favorite blogs altogether in a convenient collection, and reading content on the original websites.

It’s too bad there isn’t a way to track that a visitor arrived via the RSS feed and thus display the download link, thereby getting visitors onto your actual web site (where they may discover additional content).

The password you’re referring to is just to enter your comment on this blog, it’s not the password to download the icons.

If you want to download the icon set, please subscribe to our blog on the top right hand side of this page (RSS) and view the site via an RSS reader and scroll to the bottom for the real password.

I found the link and password, and downloaded the .zip, but when I unzip it, it contains a single file with the extension, “.out” – what is that and how am I suposed to get the icons out of it? I’m on Windows XP.

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Subscribe to our RSS feed
2. View the feeds through an RSS readers, such as Google reader
3. Scroll to the bottom of ANY post to find the password there.

If anyone’s having trouble getting the password:
Subscribe to the RSS feed, the password will be at the bottom of each post.

You must be using an RSS reader to view the password.

An alternative if you aren’t using an RSS reader:
-Go to: http://feeds.feedburner.com/webdesignerdepot?format=xml
-Go View Source, and then search for “RSS freebie”. The download code will be on that line.

It works for sure on IE8, untested for Firefox.

I do recommend subscribing to the feed though, there is a lot of cool articles.
