Normal (Regular; Buch, Werk, Book, Medium, Plain, Roman) 6. Halbfett (Semi Bold; Kräftig) 7. Fett (Bold; Dreiviertelfett, Demi, Heavy) 8. Extrafett (Extra Bold; Black) 9. Ultrafett (Ultra Bold; Extra Black, Ultra) Adrian Frutiger developed a numeric system to categorize the different font weights. I think he used it for Univers and Frutiger.
