While some may serve a purpose while getting to the point (Eat Mor Chikin or I'm Lovin' It) ones such as "take a deep breathe" just aren't that effective. I have to agree with Joel in saying that if I buy something, it's not because of the slogan, it's because someone recognized the brand as good and told me about it.
