WHAT??? Actually, if something doesn’t work in Internet Explorer then a little bit less than 75% of users WOULD be able to use it just fine… IE is only used by less than a third of users worldwide.
Firefox is rated at almost a half of all browsers…

Box-shadow transitions work for me in at least Safari 4 and Firefox 4 beta2 using the appropriate vendor-specific prefixes.

There is no evidence of IE9 supporting transitions. They HAVE only promised greater support for CSS3, not specifically for transitions, unless I missed an announcement. That isnot to say that it will not happen, and it is obvious that Microsoft is finally giving it’s Web browser dome much needed attention.
