Very useful post, but could you explain me, please, one point:

I don’t clearly understand it. For example here, at webdesignerdepot.com, there are a lot of photos taken from flickr.com, deviantart.com, photos.net and others. Does the post writer get permission on each photo from its author? Or maybe there is no need to do it?

I got this in the mail before I seen it here, I thought I had done something wrong lol. However the legal ramifications of what we say if we say it about an anal retentive person could land us all in hot water. Sad but true.

Lets remember what free speech really is. It is not the right to abuse, harass, lie about or in any way impinge on others personal rights. And its not the right to say anything you want.

This post really helps a lot, especially on the Intellectual Property portion. The points stated are generally what most bloggers do. But there is still a small group of people who always goes around ripping and claiming ownership of others’ content. Any actions that we can follow up with them?

This is a very good reminder for me. I have shared some personal information about myself in the past and have always wondered if/how it will come back to bite me in the future, especially if I decide to be employed again. If potential employers find out I have MS from my visible involvement in the online MS communities (forums, support groups, etc), is that the end of my “outside” career? I have my business and personal blog; they are very separate, but information is easy to find.
