Black and white images with CSS
Converting a bunch of images to black and white for a website can be a huge pain, especially if you also want to use the color versions (like for a hover effect); it's twice the work and twice the storage space. So why not let CSS3 do the work for you with the CSS3 greyscale filter? You can even use it to create images that are only partially desaturated!

Are you ignoring colorblind users?
Roughly 8% of the male population (or 4% of the overall population) has some form of colorblindness, and yet very few designers take that into account when designing a website. We Are Colorblind aims to educate UI designers about how colorblind users will view your page. They have tons of examples, including a simulator so you can see for yourself.

Animals using git
Git can be confusing for a lot of new developers. That's why Git Animals shows how git works by illustrating it with animated gifs of animals, from sea turtles showing pull requests to armadillos illustrating "git init". It might not be the most educational resource for understanding git, but it's definitely among the most entertaining and cute ones out there. |
