Campaign Monitor has released a great guide to optmizing your emails for a variety of display sizes. It makes sense when you consider how many users access email primarily on their mobile device or tablet.

Interactive art

Koalas to the Max dot Com offers up this awesome bit of interactive artwork. It starts as a simple circle, but each time you move your mouse across it, the circles divide. Eventually, as you continue to divide the circles, a picture will emerge. It does take some time and commitment to get to the final image, but it’s well worth it.

The Art of Logo Design from PBS

The Art of Logo Design is a short documentary from PBS that discusses what makes a great logo, as well as the history behind logo design (all the way back to cave painters in pre-history). It revolves around taking the complex and reducing them down to simple ideas that can be easily communicated with the world.

JavaScript by Hemingway?

What if Hemingway Wrote JavaScript? is the unlikely question posed by blogger Angus Croll on his JavaScript blog. Croll’s take on how Hemingway would have coded is insightful, to say the least. “It’s plain and clear and it does what it has to — and nothing more,” is a particularly interesting quote.

Google’s new London HQ

Google has recently opened up a new headquarters in London, and as Co.Design reports, it’s quirky enough Mr. Bean would love it. There are swanky, upholstered lounge spaces, bold colors, and even an outdoor garden space complete with modern picnic tables and a view of the city.
