Facebook check-ins with face recognition
Facedeals is a new program set up by Red Pepper Land, a Nashville-based ad agency, that checks you into a business location by identifying your face when you walk in. The system can also send customized deals through smartphone notifications to registered users. It's currently being tested in Nashville.

Then, when you scroll down, various objects slide onto the screen, giving more insight into the site's owner and his interests and personality. It's a really well-executed design.

There's an interesting photo circulating around the internet of President Obama appearing to catch an orb of light while giving a speech in Iowa.
