Awesome Instawidgets from all over Dribbble

Adam Whitcroft designed a widget (dubbed the Instawidget) for displaying a user's Instagram photos which inspired over 70 Instawidget Rebounds on Dribbble. There are some fantastically creative ideas for how one might display an Instagram user's information on a website or elsewhere, in all different styles. It's a great example of how one designer's work can inspire the work of others.

Design guide for startups and non-designers

Startups, this is wow design works is a great guide for non-designers, by Wells Riley. It offers information on what design is, what makes "good design", and even includes Dieter Rams' ten principles of "Good Design". It's a fantastic resource to share with clients or others who aren't designers by trade but should have a basic working knowledge of what design is and how it works.

World's first iPad self-publishing app

Tactilize is the first self-publishing app and content network for the iPad. It aims to allow anyone with a creative interest the same publishing tools a major publishing house would have. The app is free to download from the Mac App Store.

UX Archive offers up a showcase of some of the most interesting user flows in applications out there. It's a great source of inspiration for designers who want to create better user experiences. You can explore by app or by task, depending on what kind of inspiration you're looking for.

Build your own social news site with Telescope

Telescope is an open source (MIT-licensed) social news app (like Hacker News or Reddit) built with real-time JavaScript framework Meteor. It uses EpidEditor for Markdown, is Mixpanel and GoSquared enabled, email or Twitter authentication, a day-by-day digest view, and more. Telescope was built by Sacha Grief and Tom Coleman.

League Gothic updated

League Gothic is a very popular free sans serif font provided by the League of Moveable Type. It was originally released in 2009 (and based on a typeface created in 1903), but has recently been updated and expanded to include italicized and condensed versions. Micah Rich, Tyler Finck, and Dannci all contributed to the update.

A showcase of great redesigns

Redsgned is a showcase of great website and app redesigns from around the web, particularly of very popular sites and apps. The redesigns featured are personal projects of the designers, rather than actual official redesigns. Still, it's a great place to get ideas for how to approach a redesign, with comments from the designers.
