A more evolved Masonry-style layout library

Packery is a new layout library that aims to solve two major issues that have been present in similar layout systems like Masonry or Isotope. First, it fills gaps, and second, it allows you to drag item elements. It's fully responsive, and also allows you to position certain elements absolutely anywhere on the page and have other elements wrap around them.

Pull to refresh for the web

Hook.js allows you to add "pull to refresh" functionality to your websites and web apps, just like many mobile apps use. Your users just have to scroll a bit and they'll get a refreshed page. It's beautifully implemented and works wonderfully. It's a great option for your user interfaces.

A less-distracting wireframing font

Redacted is a font specifically for wireframing, that's much less distracting than lorem ipsum (and unlikely to have your clients asking you why everything on their site is in Latin). It comes in a Regular style that uses blocks to represent text, as well as Script and Script Bold versions. Inspired by the BLOKK font.

Search with style

Niice is a search engine that lets you search both Dribbble and Behance for inspiration (more sources will be coming soon). Just enter a keyword or two and you'll get tons of examples of great designs. And of course the site itself is beautifully designed, with a great user experience. Never again spend hours looking through Google results to find good-looking sites.

Redesign of Future Insights

Mike Kus recently redesigned the Future Insights Redesign website, with the aim to create a more interesting and engaging user experience. The new design has a beautiful layout with sensible adaptations for tablet and mobile users. This post covers the thoughts behind the redesign, as well as offering more information about those who contributed to it.
