SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Warning about ThemePure.com

Dear WDD readers,

Last week we featured a bundle of themes in our newsletter called the “WDD Bundle” from ThemePure.com (no association with our webdesignerdepot.com website), which is a bundle that ThemePure put together for our readers.

Although we have not found issues with this particular bundle, it has come to our attention that ThemePure.com seems to have been engaged in the stealing of other designers’ themes and then selling them packaged as their own themes. This behaviour is deplorable and completely unacceptable.

In view of this information, we strongly recommend that if you purchased from ThemePure.com at any point, that you dispute any charges for any purchases made from them with your credit card company. If you have any questions or issues with this process, please let us know and we’ll be happy to assist you in the dispute process and getting your money back.

We go to great lengths to protect our readers from things like these happening, but unfortunately in this case, we didn’t come across this information on time. As we said earlier, ThemePure’s “WDD bundle” content ‘seems’ fine and does not seem to contain stolen content, however, the company appears to have been deceptive in their practices and we therefore assume that there are likely some issues with these themes as well.

A special thanks to our readers, especially Tamara and Joern who contributed to WDD with these findings.

We would like to deeply apologize for any inconvenience caused and we thank you for your understanding.
