sexy_web_design_book2I'm always reading tons of design blogs as well as buying books and magazines to gain more knowledge on design and bring fresh ideas to WDD.

A little while ago, I ordered Elliot Jay Stocks book "Sexy Web Design" and after reading it, I thought it would be a great idea if I could bring this book to the loyal readers of WDD.

So, I've partnered with the publisher SitePoint, one of the leading resources for designers, to bring this great book to the WDD audience.

Starting today, we'll be running a 10 day contest here on WDD, where you can win one of 5 free copies of the book that we'll be giving away.

Here's some more information:

"Sexy Web Design" is an easy-to-follow guide that reveals the secrets of how to build your examplesown breathtaking web interfaces from scratch. You’ll be guided through the entire process of creating a gorgeous, usable web site by applying the timeless principles of user-centered design.

Even if you’re short on design skills, with this book you’ll be creating your own stunning web sites in no time at all.

Throughout, the focus is on simple and practical techniques that anyone can use — you don’t need to have gone to art school or have artistic flair to create stunning designs using the methods outlined in this book.

The book’s full-color layout and large format (8” x 10”) make Sexy Web Design a pleasure to read.
