    Nature is a superb way of finding natural and unique inspiration.

    It refreshes our mind and gives us something to think about in new and exciting ways.

    I’m a huge fan of character illustration, especially monsters and aliens.

    When searching for inspiration for these illustrations, I find taking a good look at the world beneath us, the sea-bed of the ocean always points me in the right direction.

    The bright colors, unusual but natural shapes and the detail in the photos below will hopefully inspire you as well…

    How do you go about finding inspiration in nature? Where else do you go for inspiration?

    I love this stuff. It looks like something from another world (especially since I’m trapped here in Illinois).

    Some of this stuff send a shiver down my spine as its a bit creepy crawly, but the deep blue sea is most definitely a good source of inspiration….esp some of the vivid colours!…

    Awesome. Approximately 71% of the Earth’s surface is covered with water but it is hard to see and enjoy the beauty. The post like this make it happen..

    Amazing, I’ve seen corals and they dont look so good in real life. More than the equipment, what techniques have you used, very curious to read about it.

    Why can’t we see this in person?? I hate not knowing what else is out there. I was always thinking I’d love to go to space and see what else is there but there’s so much on earth I haven’t seen. WE haven’t seen.

    @e11world

    Where do you live? Any sea and some snorkeling equipment will do. Add some neoprene in cold water and stay away from sandy beaches with their reduced visibility. Most interesting flora and fauna lives quite close to the surface.

    Thanks for that info klara. I live in Vancouver Canada (Olympics city) and it has many of the most beautiful places in the world. You have to admit that this world is FULL of things our eyes haven’t seen yet.

    A nice selection (although there were some in there I would have left out). It’s great to see a non-diving website promote the underwater world though! Keep up the good work.
